Nathan Spencer is 38 and has been working in the Film & Television Industry since 1992.  He works primarily as an RF Technician specializing in SD, HD & 3D Video Transmissions (for Video Assist) during Movie shoots. He is a member of IATSE Local 600 (International Cinematographers Guild) and can work union and non-union Movies & Commercials, as well as Television.

Nathan began his career in TV, working with miniature cameras and microwave links for Motorsport coverage.  Then, while working for the 'Wescam' group, worked extensively with Helicopter mounted Gyro-stabilized cameras and live link systems for many Broadcasters & Security Agencies around the World.

In 1998, he formed a company to provide specialized production equipment and services to Film Producers and Television Networks.  He was involved as Engineer, Camera Operator and / or Project Manager for hundreds of Entertainment, News, Sports and Special Events shows, working in more than 40 countries.

Notably, he was Outside Broadcast Engineering Manager for the UK Channel 4 entertainment show 'V Graham Norton'.  With the BBC, he was involved in many entertainment and sports shows and was also one of the few production personnel granted permission to work closely with members of the British Royal Family (including HM The Queen), covering many royal engagements for news and documentary series.

In sport, as well as his work at the Olympic Games, Asian Games & Special Olympics he has covered events including Soccer, Cricket, Rugby, Athletics, Powerboat Racing, Boxing, Car & Motorcycle Racing, Marathons, Cycling, Sailing, Skiing, Rowing and Horse Racing... to name just a few!  In addition, he was responsible for the live wireless camera systems used for coverage of the European & Asian Tour Golf tournaments for several years.

In film, he began working on numerous commercials and short films, progressing with involvement in projects like 'Mission:Impossible' and 'The Beach' (often using helicopter based wireless video assist systems).  In 2003, he then acted as consultant, and designed & built a groundbreaking Digital Wireless Video Assist system for Warner Bros. which was used for the filming of 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban'.

Now, working almost exclusively as an RF Technician on Movie projects around the World from his base in Los Angeles, his recent work includes 'Inception', 'Salt', 'The Amazing Spider-Man', 'Mission::Impossible 4' and 'The Bourne Legacy'.
